Charlotte City Cup Success

As the Challenge season comes to an end, two Matthews USA teams finished out the season on a high note at the Charlotte City Cup this weekend. The 98 Crew boys team finished group play 3-0 and made it to the finals, but came up just short in the finals of the U-9 Gold division 1-0 to North Meck SC.

In the U10 Gold National Division, the Matthews USA 97 Gold completed group play with 2 wins and a tie, making it to the finals. In the finals, Matthews USA came up winners, with a 5-2 victory over a tough Lake Norman SC team.

Congratulations to both teams for a strong showing this weekend and for a great season.

Julian Brown Results

Congratulations to the 98 Matthews USA Crew for their success at the Julian Brown Cup. The Crew were champions of theU9 Elite bracket, going 3-0-1 with only 2 goals against in four games. Congratulations Crew.

Congrats also go out to the U12 Elite bracket-winning 95 Matthews USA Gold Girls, let by Coach Ryan DiNunzio. They completed the sweep this weekend going 4-0, with only 1 goal against. Way to go girls.

Other teams that placed as finalists this weekend were the 98 Matthews USA United and the 93 Matthews USA Gold girls. Thanks to all the teams that participated this weekend and supported such a great tournament.

Charlotte City Cup April 26 & 27th

Weekend Tournament Success

Congratulations to our U9 and U10 Teams who participated in the Matthews USA Invitational this past weekend. Of the 6 brackets played, Matthews USA teams won two brackets and were finalists in five. Congrats on a great start to the tournament.

Finalists: 98 MUSA Crew, 98 MUSA United, 97 MUSA Cosmos and 97 MUSA Blue Blazers

Tournament Success in Georgia

The U10 Matthews USA Gold competed in the Coastal Georgia Savannah Cup Boys Rule! Tournament January 26th & 27th. The boys finished 4-0 while taking first place in the gold division. Congratulations to head coach Chad Smith and the boys are a great showing!
